Special Mouldings
We can supply the timber, prepare it, and mould it to the profile you require. Very often we can use a combination of knives from our extensive library of shaped cutters to give a very close approximation of the desired shape of your moulding. If an approximation is not good enough, or if we do not have suitable cutters, we can have them made in a relatively short time (typically 4-6 working days). A recent change in legislation means it is no longer practical or economical for us to make the cutters ourselves, but the quality of the cutters we buy is very high, and the cost is quite reasonable.
Most usually people will bring to the workshop a sample of the moulded piece that is to be matched; e.g. a short length (200-300mm) of architrave or skirting. We generally need to cut off a small piece, and use this as our template.
We are able to produce your mouldings as a big production run or even as just one piece 600mm long (it has happened!). We welcome the opportunity to offer our services to you.
